Looking for a winter cap to keep my bald head warm through winter. I have a fair few requirements so hoping someone can come up with something that hits them:

  • Baseball cap style
  • Ideally wool or insulated, with fold away ear flaps
  • Prefer a plain neutral colour - no red plaid!
  • No logos on the front or sides, and ideally none at all - sorry Filson
  • Prefer made in country with relatively well protected worker's rights, or that the company demonstrates their own commitments where the country doesn't

Thanks in advance!

Tilley makes some good winter hats, otherwise stormy kromer is good too.

We literally just discovered Nirvanna Designs and their stuff is amazing. It’s all handmade in Nepal for fair wages. Everything is 100% wool and most are lined with fleece. Seems super high quality. They were at a holiday market in NYC and we both bought hats, scarves and mittens. My hubby got a baseball cap style. There may be a tiny tag but no logo. Mostly neutral colors.

I love my tin cloth wildfowl hat from filson. It's not cheap about 90 if I remember correctly, but it looks phenomenal and is super durable. Totally waterproof waxed canvas on the exterior and a thick wool on the inside. I've worn it out hunting in the snow and sleet a bunch of times and stayed dry and warm. The way the flaps come down works out great to keep the wind off my ears when riding a quad fast in the cold. Definitely a solid buy
