I found a Kensington collection 40% wool plaid flannel shirt while cleaning out my parents house during a move and I would like to find more like it. Looking at trying to buy used on eBay or even names to look out for at thrift stores. If anyone has any info on the Kensington collection (looks to be at least from the 90's) that would be appreciated as well.

I have Pendleton flannels that my grandfather had worn since he was my age, and they've held up well. They do their assembly in Mexico these days, but the fabrics are still woven in Oregon. Their weave is very tight, and they're one of the few wool flannels that you can machine wash.

Filson also comes to mind, but they're more known for their work in waxed canvas.

I have a Filson NW Wool shirt that I love but I believe it's %100 wool.

I have seen some pendleton in my research and they seem to be found easily on eBay as well.

Thred Up is also an excellent place to get Pendleton. I got a Pendleton wool blazer and wool flannel for 60$ total and i always filter for used like new or new with tags so the items always look brand new!

I was just able to check this site out, and they don't offer a men's section from what I could see.

I've got an old Pendleton that I found in a field. Washed it and it's like new. I absolutely love it

I have a Patagonia wool button up plaid that I really like. Quite warm and looks nice.

Anion is a fantastic option out of Canada (they ship internationally) https://anianmfg.com/

These look great, but I work in a basically outside weld shop in the northeast and want a shirt for warmth under my leathers. I wouldn't want to drop that much for the possibility of it getting burnt up. Maybe I'll look into them for a nice option out of work though!

In that case I recommend the official Vancouver Island tuxedo: https://www.stanfields.com/products/mens-heritage-heavy-weight-wool-henley

Also you don't mention what country you are in, so I will assume you are American. Make sure to do the conversions, the dollar is in your favour.

Yes I am in the US, and this looks just about perfect as far as buying new goes. Thanks for the recommendation!

I wear the crap outta mine and it still looks great. No pilling. It's not the softest in the world, but I am always wearing a t-shirt or a thin long sleeve under it anyhow to keep from having to wash it as much.

Seconded. Really good quality and durability so far with Anian.

I inherited a FiveBrother heavy flannel from my Great-Uncle, when he passed away 9 years ago. I don't know how long he had it but I wear it almost daily throughout the winter. It's thick enough to be damn near windproof yet comfortable enough to lounge about the house in. On top of that, the snap up buttons have held up to over a decade of being ripped open Hulk Hogan style, with no hint of wear to the fabric or buttons.

I hear old Pendletons are good. Make sure they're USA made, newer ones are outsourced and not as good.
