I could be missing the point, but how are y’all destroying through your splatter screens through regular use? Just use a lid?

Have you ever made a steak? Bacon? There's a load of different meals that DONT need a lid and are actually better without one?

I don't know that it's specifically BIFL, but I like my Oxo one. It's punched metal instead of a wire mesh.
