All of my food atarage tubs are cheap and the lids are all bent and twisted from microwaving, and don't seal properly

I'm looking for a set of smaller tubs for storing food and liquids, and for taking my lunch to work

Is tupperware still a good brand? I don't mind paying a little more for something that doesn't need replacing every 6 months because the lids don't go on

That was my first thought too. But one will have to buy new lids now and again.

OP I’ve had the glass Pyrex with snap lid set from Costco for about 7 years - still almost like new (one snap broke on 1 lid). I just bought a 2nd so that I don’t run out when I freeze soup. The set comes with maybe 7 total, 4 different sizes, ~$30.

Of course there is always washing out and re-using yogurt and cottage cheese containers….

They don't stack well and they don't do too well being tossed around in a lunch box and car

Tbh unless you're putting soup/stew in a stainless thermos, I don't think you're going to find what you're looking for. Good luck tho.

Surely there is plastic containers that last longer than 6 months

Plastic is not great. (Only 9% of plastic waste has ever been recycled.) Pyrex is very good although the lids on mine are starting to lose their snap-into-place-ness. They are several years old and maybe I can just replace the lids.

Plastic time and heat don’t work well together sadly. Sometimes it’s just a matter of buying a more durable material

Rubbermaid makes a jillion types. If you have a Grocery Outlet store close enough, check there for food storage containers. My G.O. has oodles of them, in every size.

I've had my Rubbermaid containers for at least 25 years. They are definitely BIFL. They'll outlive me.

Tupperware lids don’t fit well at all anymore, just a FYI.

Good to know. I've never owned tupperware because it's expensive. It's always the kids that fail on most storage tubs
