Looking for a black men's leather wallet that just folds in half, no silly tri-fold nonsense or little card flip open thing. I'm currently using the "Tesla Lusk Wallet" and I really really really like it. I pretty much want a near identical wallet that will just last forever. I've had this wallet for about 5 years and it's on its last legs, many of the seams have failed, cards keep falling out. It's time. I looked on Amazon and really didn't see a viable option... Thanks!

They sell Ettinger on Amazon. Love mine. Great customer support too.

On Etsy you can usually find small leather goods of fine quality. Include "handmade" in your search to find some of the nicest.

Ftw post a commission on r/leatherclassifieds and get exactly what you want, made from premium full-grain veg-tan leather, and handmade by a real leather craftsman.

I've had a simple bifold from Shinola Detroit that has really held up well. They have several models and colors. Mine is the Slim Bifold Wallet.

Popov ! It doesn't get much better than that. They also sell kits for you to make it yourself.

Definitely hanks belts. 100 year warranty, super thick leather. I love my wallet and will last me a life time. I was at a redwing store a few weeks ago and was comparing some of their wallets they had in store and they where just flimsy in comparison. If you want a BIFL wallet hanks belts is the way….. can also confirm their belts are awesome too

My Tumi wallet is similar in style and I’ve had it for about 10 years now. Still looks new.

My wife looked it up, mine is a "small bifold wallet" that they seem to no longer carry. It appears to be similar to the medium one linked here. Mine doesn't have the ID window (which is how I prefer it tbh) and no separate card pockets. It just opens up to two horizontal pockets where I put credit cards, my ID, membership cards, etc. and the big pocket in the back for bills.

Looking around, mine looks the most like the large bifold wallet except that it’s only half the size vertically (large has 4 pockets, mine has only 2). But that would give you a better mental image for what mine looks like. I really like it tbh so I’m sad to see they discontinued it.

Popov is a great company, thoroughly recommend supporting them, their owner seems like an awesome guy.

Also Mitchell leather makes a great bifold wallet (their money clip wallet) super slim and I have had mine going on 13 years now.

A lot of etsy is like that, but not all. My wife recommended to me to look for Instagram or Facebook pages tied to the creator accounts and go research them to see if they actually make their products. Lots of people on Etsy still do make stuff, but it takes a lot of searching unfortunately.

The Mitchell leather wallet I have is around 5 years old and shows no signs of wearing out. Developing a lovely patina from card thicknesses and also toddler bite marks. I anticipate this being the last wallet I own.
