2011 MBP in perfect condition mechanically, but I have to run it on Linux. Why make products that last if you don't support them with updated OS and software?

If you're determined to use an 11 year old MacBook with current software, you could use OpenCore Legacy patcher to make it run a current Mac OS rather than Linux.
