I don't need anything flashly, would like to have a decent speaker, battery life and hotspot abilities. Any other options around the $250-300 range would be greatly appreciated.

I used to work at google so I might be biased, but I think these were a pretty solid value, might be on sale for cheaper somewhere else.

That is a very cheap and budget phone by them. Wouldn’t recommend at all for the things you’re asking for… I’d try for an older iPhone if you’re able to.

The Samsung A32 was released 2 years ago (Jan 2021). It's nearing the end of Samsung's committed two years of Android and regular security updates. It will get another two years of security patches (at a reduced rate) before it totally reached End of Life. Not BIFL.
