To clarify, the yoga-type everyday leggings that happen to be wool, not wool-lined tights or underwear for layering.

I have a hard time with synthetic leggings as they wear down the thigh/crotch area and pill a lot, so hoping to find a pair that will last at least a couple years. I’ve heard good things about the wool& ones (despite being merino) but I just don’t have the budget for >$100 leggings.

Thanks!

wool& is a good brand. They usually have a 100 day challenge, where you wear the stuff 100 days in a row, and they'll give you a coupon code for the same price as what you bought. So, think of it as two for one?

They hold up. My wife has several pairs and has been wearing them every day for over a year.

That’s really great to know. I’ve been looking for their leggings secondhand but no luck yet- might just wait it out and hopefully one will pop up. I checked out their 100 day challenges and it looks like it’s only for their dresses :(

I managed to find icebreaker pants and leggings on sale a few years ago. They are fabulous, but I can now only find them full price. And they are expensive.

How's fleece for you? I really like the Maggie's Organics Organic Cotton Fleece Leggings. They are 4% spandex, so it's limited on synthetic materials. I've had a pair for a year and they are holding up well so far. They're also very comfortable and warm.

I just looked on the website and it’s almost exactly what I’m looking for. I’m going to see if I can get these secondhand or on sale. Thank you!

I am wearing my several year old Ibex wool leggings right now. But I’m not sure you’re going to find something with several years of wear in it for under $100.

It’s a trade-off for sure. I wish it wasn’t so, but I just don’t have the budget for $100+ leggings.

I have some 2 pairs of smartwool 260 leggings that I've been rotating almost every day for the past 6 years [winter november - march]. Still in excellent condition aside from a few small holes.

Merino Unbound are 100% merino wool and by far the nicest leggings I've ever owned. Also the most expensive. I bought two pairs and considered them an investment since I've moved to the northeast.

You can just do what my wife does. Find out what brands you want to target and check the common retailers for when sales usually happen. My wife basically refreshed both our wardrobes during sales with good brands.
