Doubt there’s one that lasts a lifetime but I’m looking for one that can a very long time. Had a Shark steam mop that I loved but only lasted 3 years (which I guess is typical for regular use) I’m trying to buy things that will last to reduce consumption but it seems a lot of the regular mops don’t last too long either so I’m wondering if y’all know of any good brands that last a long while for y’all because the typical spraying the floor and doing the moonwalk on a towel has been so tiring and time consuming 😅

The answer is not one that you will like, but you need to hear it. Rubbermaid Commercial. These are brutes. The big yellow bucket with wringer. The handle. The mop heads, which you can wash. All bulletproof. They make some "Swiffer" type commercial heads now too, but you said mop.

Wow Rubbermaid ?? I didn’t realize they made those. Thank you so much!

Rubbermaid commercial for sure. I go with the Hygen which allows for swappable microfiber heads. I buy the cleansers I use for wood or tile in bulk then mix them up in commercial spray bottles, spray generously, mop, and then wash the head. They've lasted years so far.

Another comment mentioned Rubbermaid and I had no idea they made mops! That’s what I’ve been doing but with towels so I’ll definitely have to look into their mops and save my knees/back. Thank you!

I have been using an $11 mop from target for over 9 years? It didn’t come with a bucket, but I already had one.

Oh wow, that’s incredible. I’ll have to take a gander at those, thank you!

The target brand mop is awful. I had it for 2 weeks and it broke and the reviews on the app also reflect that ☹️ I just bought O-Cedar and it has mixed reviews but we’ll see

Oh no ;-; I’ve noticed such a decline in quality over the last 5 years in so many things and it’s only gotten worse since the Rona - real shame. I hope you have better luck with your new one! Gonna have to look into that as well! I have 3 cats so I’m definitely looking for something that can handle use at least 3 times a week 😅

I have a Rubbermaid reveal, its a spray one though. Only had it for a year but it feels sturdy.

I've used one of these for 14 years or so and just replaced the towel part once.

Probably an equivalent US version out there. Fill a sink or bucket. Wet/wring out the towel head. Mop. Repeat. $20 and still going strong.
