[Request] Motorcycle gloves - any type

what motorcycle gloves do you recommend that have lasted you tens of thousands of miles/km? And that the palm is still holding up. (Any types are welcomed)

my current gloves are a pair of busted up Alpinestars Cellar V2 gloves that I've worn for 14,000 miles/22500km, palm has thinned and broken. I do have replacement gloves but know I'm thinking of probably returning those (Alpines* SMX Z Drystar & Alpine* Booster v2) and getting one of the ones u guys might recommend!

Odin Mfg. Make quality gear (not found on Revzilla or Cyclegear), or Icon Hypersport (my personal favorites, that keep getting STOLEN).

The Icon are goat skin (I think) they're thicker than my older A-stars. A bit thick for Summer and too thin for Winter, good feel and soft. My Odins are the SMX, these are my Summer gloves. They're Cowhide and a little thicker but, perforated palms and breathe VERY well. I wish the SMXs had palm sliders, beyond that I like them a lot and they look new still after 2 years.

I disagree. A camping subreddit is much more specialized, and would have a much greater knowledge of equipment.

yes, but as a fast track way of finding out if something is BIFL, here would be a better source, given that there are motorcyclists here (as evident)

Held phantoms and BMW GS gloves. Both have lasted me for a long time and I commute and tour with them. Maybe causal but both of them are made with roo Leather

Subjective I know but the Palm thickness is still pretty good and I still feel them to be protective.

They're Knox Orsa gloves, not sure on the mileage but I've used them regularly for the last 7 years.

The leather is thick and well padded, and the best part is the scaphoid slider/armor. Not many gloves include serious protection in that area, but it's the most common initial point of impact in a crash.

Dianese has never done me wrong. Their Steel Pro gloves lasted me over 15k miles before kicking it in a crash. Saved my hands, though.

Great, sturdy pair of gloves. Expensive, but super well constructed. Took a little to break in, though.

I've also had some Revit gloves that were nice lightweight, warm weather gloves, but they didn't last that long. Only maybe 5k miles before the leather started to disintegrate at the thumb seam.

Good ones that have enough tactile feedback for switchgear/buttons, easy on & off, abrasion protection, air flow, etc properly balanced will not be BIFL. Oils from your hands will get them funky and eventually break down the glove. For leather I’d find a nice handmade set. I’ve seen craftsmen set up booths at rallies like Biketoberfest/Daytona Bike Week or Sturgis. For a textile glove, I love my Alpinestars vapors but I rarely ride. All my bikes are garage queens and I am lazy

I wear Lee Park designs. Super comfy when broken in, great feel for switches. Drawback is they are not water proof. Had mine for 9 years so far.

I have the deertour outseams. Palms are nearly unworn.
