I have never heard about this brand, but for this price I think you can buy an Osprey or a GORUCK backpack. They have a life warranty even for wear and tear.

I’ve had them for years. They used to sell a messenger bag with an airline seatbelt buckle and used the fabric you see in a lot of airport chairs.

I got a newer version with a paraglider buckle. The thing I really liked from them is the laptop sleeves. My wife and I have about a half dozen between us. That sleeve and a gear pouch from them and any bag is a safe space for a laptop.

I haven’t bought anything from them in a decade or so, but what I bought from them was very nicely made with good materials.

I bought one bag from them in 2006, and several laptop, phone, and iPad cases over the course of a few years after that. I still have the bag, it’s in great shape, but I don’t use it much anymore mostly because I prefer other bags I’ve bought since.

Apologies if the above sub gives you a new addiction.

Waterfield is definitely better than Osprey. I can't compare them to GoRuck as the latter is very different (overbuilt, but crude), but I'd much rather get a Waterfield bag than a GoRuck (I have a GR1 Slick, by the way, and unimpressed).

I've been buying their stuff since December 2001 or so, when they were the first to come out with a protective case for the original iPod. They still make a wide range of ultra-specialized bags no one else makes. I have their Mac Pro 2013 cylinder bag, for instance, as well as the one for the Mac Mini, Mac Studio and the AirPod Max.

Their laptop sleevecases are the absolute best in the market.

I've owned their excellent Vertigo and Muzetto North-South crossbody messenger bags, and have their packable backpack (doesn't wrinkle so you don't look like a hobo, but doesn't pack very small either). Their bags are great, if you like the style, however they don't have them in highly technical lightweight materials like X-PAC or Dyneema.

Just bought one, fantastic design. Didn't think the gold would sell me but it makes perfect sense so you can see everything in the bag. 3rd batch, comes near the end of the month.

Excellent choice. Have multiple WF bags I used for multiple years of office commuting and some travel and they’re all in excellent condition
