It’s a “it depends” answer. A good manual scale will almost certainly outlast a digital scale but you don’t get as many features. I’ve used a pretty wide range ( in terms of cost) of digital scales and none of them lasted more than 2 years. I’ve had a ConAir manual scale for over 10 years and it shows my weight! I have to calibrate it once in a while but for close approximations, I find it a good compromise. I forgot how much I paid but it wasn’t much.
