Sub $50 I’d go digital. No analog scale at that price will be BIFL.

I have an Escali kitchen scale. It's doing great.

For anything that requires a calibration it's almost always cheaper and more robust to go for a digital option in modern times. It's not hot and sexy like an old school hunk of metal, but labor and materials are way more expensive than they used to.

I hate everything battery powered. But the engineer brain takes over sometimes.
