I currently have a kitchenaid spatula and its been fine except that anytime it even comes close to touching food..the food sticks to it horribly. I always have to soak it, scrub it with lots of soap, scrape the heck out of it. I dont know why food sticks to it so badly and its easily the worst thing to clean in my entire kitchen. Made of plastic i think? Looking for something thats not like this at all. No brightly- colored utensils, preferably.

Get a silicone spatula, nothing sticks to them and they're safe to really high temperatures.

I've learnt over my cooking lifetime however that fancy designer ones are crap. They put a nice wooden handle and the glue fails and it falls apart.

Instead make sure that the whole spatula is a single piece of silicon with no seams or joins, then it'll be good forever.

I found mine online from a generic kitchen website, they were so cheap I bought 3, I've given two of them away to family members because they hate cooking in kitchens without a decent spatula. Since then I've bought a few more, but the first one I bought is still as good as new maybe 7 or 8 years later.

And just to add onto these excellent points, the spatulas with the smooth blade shape instead of the angular blade seem to work better for me. I have a handful of each of the full (12+ inch) and "medium" 10 inch sizes.

If you look in a walmart they should have them there if they are more flexible it’s likely to break after 2-3 years but are some of my favourite cooking utensils. I had a cheap green one and it was amazing for the years it has lasted me. Im currently using a kitchen aid one and its works just as fine so I cant recommend getting a name brand one.

We like Rada utensils of all kinds. My grandmother has been using hers since the 60s.

There have been 3 posts about spatulas within 24hrs. Is this some kind of meta meme?

Just look around the subreddit before posting, or, god forbid, search for something. Shocking how many repeat threads there are so close to eachother.
