I checked them out in Burlington. Exceptional heavy weight flannel but sadly my house is too warm for them

Hospital scrubs are designed to take a beating with daily washings, so if you use them to sleep and wash them normally they should last longer.

I use these and they are super durable. Not quite as comfortable as real pajamas but after using them for a while they got softer and I really like them.

For sure, they definitely get softer over time. Initially they can feel a bit stiff and rough depending on the material, but they get better over time with washings.

I've got a comfy pair of shitty Old Navy PJ bottoms that have lasted for 10-15 years. Forget exactly when I got them but they've been great. Granted, they have some paracord as a drawstring now, but everything else works great!

Best advice for any piece of clothing to last is to not use fabric softener and hang dry it. With things like pajama pants it should last for at least 10 years.

Wish I could provide more help. But, I can help give you an “avoid these”. I had some Polo/Lauren flannel of bottoms I wore for years. I loved them. Well, they ripped and I had to buy new ones. Got some online and they are so much lower quality. They’re way thinner and aren’t close to the quality of my old ones. I wish I could prove more guidance, but avoid Polo/Lauren.

I know this is just anecdotal evidence, but my mom bought me some Target brand Xhilaration pajama pants in 2005, and I still wear them. I've never had to mend any holes. The waist is a tie rather than elastic, so that hasn't worn out either.

They don't even make that brand anymore, but if you see them in thrift stores, grab them.

I've actually got my eye on some Ralph Lauren satin pajamas if you're looking for something with more guaranteed quality.

100% cotton should last pretty much forever. I don’t own them but Filson’s Alaskan guide pajama pants should last a life time. I own the Alaskan guide flannels for 5 years and they look like new. 100% 8oz/yr so very thick organic cotton

Go to Printfresh.com and check out what they have. I have multiple pairs and they get softer with each wash, plus the patterns are great. You can iron them if you want to look crisp but I never do. The kind of pjs you’re not embarrassed answering the door in.

Weird but I have some pretty thick Old Navy flannel pajamas that I bought at least 10 years ago that haven’t worn down and haven’t shrunk up either. I usually have issues with pants getting too short. I can’t really vouch for recent quality of ON, but these ones are pretty thick which is why they have probably lasted so long.

Edit- typo

I don’t think you can trust brands alone, but have to pay attention to the fabric thickness and makeup. And, as a PP suggested take care of them by avoiding dryer cycles.

I have a couple pairs of 100% cotton pants that are a decade old pants that I just recently patched and will keep wearing for awhile.

Canvas joggers. We lived in them over quarantine and they’re still doing great. And they have pockets!
