Does anyone here have a recommendation for boots used for going on dog walks around the UK?
I purchased some Timberlands less than a year ago and have been super disappointed, they look nice but the quality is AWFUL. I've only used the boots a few times per month and last week the laces snapped and the material started peeling off... I saw that in the US they have lifetime warranty, so tried contacting their support team to see what they'll do and they offered to review them and give a refund, however I've noticed the price has now almost doubled since I bought them. I can't justify paying that again, now I've seen the quality.
Ideally I'd like some boots that, when clean, could be worn on cold days and look decent - not like I'm a hiker. Saw some North Face boots recommended and some look nice, but they also seem to have similar poor build quality according to the reviews.

Zamberlan if you want leather. Spend the cash, look after them and they will last a very very long time. I am on my second pair in 25 years.
Inov8 Roclite Pro if you do not want leather. They are a toughest lightweight (non-mountaineering) waterproof, walking boots I know of.
I do not rate North Face much and Timberland are not a proper outdoor brand.
