radio shack did used to buy and rebrand high quality products, it is possible, realistic music equipment was mainly made by casio.

Some folks on the EEVBlog forums found out that it's a rebranded Metex ME-11

I do wonder if RadioShack got in trouble for the color, Sparkfun had some budget multimeters seized at customs for violating Fluke's yellow trademark

Pfft, my Dad's multimeter is made out of Bakelite and is still going strong. It was handed down to him from his Dad - if you don't know what Bakelite is look it up to see how old this thing is.
