Popsockets sound like a total scam to me.
If I wanted more grip on my phone, I‘d just use a sturdy case with a wrist strap. They worked on cameras before. Or one with an integrated ring or a finger loop.

For a lot of people, it’s not so much about improving grip so much as it enables people with smaller hands to actually hold their ever enlarging phones.
