In search of a leather messenger bag that holds an MacBook Pro 14 inch and has a slim profile. I currently had my mind on Satchel&Page Slim Mailbag until I read up multiple reviews saying that they have spotty QC and poor customer support. Want to find something similar in size, currently I have an ONA Union Street, however I feel it's a bit too bulky when I have to carry around only a laptop (when I have to be on call) when going out. Budget is 500, preferably under 400

I’ve just gone through that journey of finding one as well (though a backpack) and settled on bleu de chauffe. I found it to be a great balance between durability (without going overboard) and aesthetics for my more smart-casual look eg. https://www.bleu-de-chauffe.com/en/men/273-sac-postier-eclair-marinepain-brule-3700716002646.html

I’ve seen saddleback and Marlondo mentioned, and they definitely look sturdy, though they’re too rugged for me and my work

You may need to bump your budget slightly. But Duluth Pack is about as BIFL as you can get.

Second this! I. Have been using one every day for work the past five years and it looks and has performed amazingly!

Coincidentally, another good Duluth made brand is Frost River.

Super nice looking. Do you have any more info on the leather? Just saying "American Heritage" leather means nothing.

Sorry I don’t. There many are reviews online. My bag still looks good after 18 years.

Does it need to be leather? If it's for riding the Timbuk2 bags are incredible and last forever. If you need something stylish then you'll have to look elsewhere.

Check out Ruitertassen. I think the Student 1 would fit your needs (single compartment, 15" size).

Just under 300$, made in Belgium for a very long time...

This, Waterfield Executive Messenger. I got the compact version, fits my 14” MacBook Pro nicely. I’ve had it less than a year so not a ton of patina yet, but it is gorgeous.
