Good people of Cambridge I am seeking help from the public! My vehicle was severely damaged in a hit and run while parked on Spring Street today. A Good Samaritan attempted to take a picture. But only managed to capture the back end of a rack truck delivering a big generator. The collision occurred between 12-1pm the truck took a left off of SPRING onto 2ND. The rack body read “Assabet Trucking” if anyone living on or near these streets have a ring camera or surveillance you may have captured the fleeing vehicle. Any help would mean so much. Feel free to DM me with more questions

PS I attempted to post the picture of the fleeing flatbed but was unsuccessful

Edit: I figured it the pic is in the comments

UPDATE: Justice prevails, the driver was identified and I was contacted by the trucking company! Thanks you everyone

Scroll down - looks like they’re based in Shirley, MA. Phone number and email are right there at that link.

I used to live like a block from that intersection! Sorry that happened to you. I can't help but you should know that this construction sight was a plague for me when I lived there. I had to call in noise complaints because they were working with their noisy jackhammers well past their permitted hours many times. Each time the cops came and I went and watched all the construction workers leave the site for the night. I hope you succeed in finding the drivers info. You should also see if there's anything you can file with the city against this company's construction permit. It's unacceptable this happened to you and the city should drop the hammer on this project.

It was this project: https://fortythorndike.com/ one corner of that property is where OP had their car wrecked. The project was going on for most of the 2 years I lived next to it. Endless jackhammers lol.

Let me guess, the company was never cited and there were never any fines

Big generator? No, that's about as small as they get unless you want a residential or man-portable one. The big ones are containerized into a 40' shipping container.

They get bigger than that, of course, but those ones don't come in one piece.

Wow, so it sounds like it's definitely NOT as small as they get then?

It's as small as they get, except for the ones that are smaller.
