I'd like to mosh some time before the new year, but don't know any venues. The Sinclair had Origami Angel a few weeks ago which was really fun but their upcoming concerts don't seem very punk. Any suggestions?

If you up for a wee drive, Hotel Vernon and Ralph's in Woo always have something going on.

My friends play at Hardcore Stadium (Central Square) a bunch. I think it’s an elks lodge.

cantab lounge, obriens, lizard lounge, crystal ballroom, the middle east, the lilypad, are all some local venues that might have what you’re looking for

Charlie’s still has shows on Mondays. Sonia has punk shows from time to time. Best bet is probably O’Brien’s or the Elks. There was a killer hardcore show at the Democracy Center last weekend but it’s not a regular thing. Also basement shows still happen but you need to ask a punk directly (you won’t see it posted online).

Yeah - I remember reading that too. But this was back in September and it seems like ME is still going strong. Doesn't necessarily mean it will go on forever like that, of course...I'd hate for this city to lose another small venue. Losses are deep enough already as it is.
