Oh this makes me SO sad. That's where I get all of my specialty art supplies. :(

I'm sorry to hear this. They were a great source of supplies, and I found the staff very helpful.

I'm devastated - i love that place, and they always had better prices than Blick across the street.

When they got rid of the Dunkin, the whole neighborhood went downhill. Now Starbucks and Darwin's are gone. The Indian place across the street is gone. Central Kitchen, The Field. When will it end???

Do they have a final day of business set?

This sucks though, Blick is too upscale, A&C has always been perfect, it's a great walking distance from MIT and has crazy good selection of everything. I hate all the rent-raising happening everywhere, have to assume that's what's causing this.

Hey everyone!

I hope this is seen. I'm the manager of the A&C Cambridge location. We're closing the store because the rent is getting too high, and our lease was up in June 2023 anyways. It's very sad news...I've been going there since I was a wee lad myself, and managing my favorite store for the past 2.5 years has been a real honor. Unfortunately, as I'm sure people will agree, Cambridge is changing too quickly for smaller businesses like ours to keep up.

BUT, there is some good news: we are actively looking to move the store to another location in Cambridge or Somerville!! 😃 We will not be gone for good. Your support right now will without a doubt help us get a new store going ASAP. Not sure of the exact location yet but we have a few places in mind and I'm personally working hard as hell to make sure we come back even better. If you know of any commercial retail spaces for lease in the Cambridge/Somerville/Boston area, call our store at 617-354-3636 or send me a DM.

Please DM me or drop by the store in person, if you'd like updates on our store move. We can get you added to the email list and keep you in the loop. Our last day being open to the public is January 15th. And at the moment, we're running a liquidation sale with everything in the store at 30% off. Our hours are 10am-7pm, Monday-Saturday. Christmas Eve and New Years Eve, we are open from 10am-5pm. Christmas Day and New Years Day we're closed. Sundays, we're open from 11am-6pm. See y'all soon! ❤️🌈
