White people curly.
Le Petit Curl in Harvard Square is great!
Second this!
Second this! Though it is quite expensive
Definitely this!! Teo (the owner) is incredibly skilled with a range of textures. I like her salon more than other curly spots because her stylists have certifications in a range of curly cut methods--not just Deva, or just Ouidad, etc. etc. The quality and location are both reflected in the cost, but...if you have the money, it's way worth it.

Jennah at The Curl Nook in Watertown!! Worth every penny
I have very curly hair and Bethany at Clementine does an amazing job (with both cut and color!)
Anita Kurl in South End
I'll add a "meh" review for Anita Kurl. I don't want to completely discourage people from trying, but I think it depends a lot on your texture and what cut/style type works for you. My haircut was just okay and my styling was terrible--definitely didn't do anything to adjust for the fact that my hair is pretty fine and gets weighed down easily. They might be better for 3C+ hair?
used to go here but they underpay their staff and treat them poorly
wait really? can you tell me more? I've gone there for my last two cuts and was planning on continuing to do so...
I used to go there too. My first hairdresser left for a different place, and then my second did too, so I figured something was up. They would not let the stylists raise their prices at all, despite the fact that $85 is far below what "curl experts" charge for a cut in Boston and other similar cities. There were other red flags but I don't want to give out identifying info.
ugh that's so disappointing to hear
HER Boston in the South End is fantastic (for color too!)
Janelle at Salon Inez is incredible—I’ve gone to her for years for both cuts and colors and she just Excels. Pricey but worth every penny imo.
Another vote for Clementine, I got a great curly cut from Ashley but all of their hairdressers are wonderful!
ETA: in Union Sq Somerville!
I love Judy Jetson near Porter! They have a couple of stylists who specialise in curls
I'll give them a call today. Thanks for the recommendation!
The Loft in Medford (they do all curly hair/all races)
I go to Jaye at Salon Luna in Porter Square for diva cuts. I really like her and the salon and the location is perfect for me.
