I want to get regularly tested (between partners) without too much cost/inconvenience - where do you guys go for this? I would normally go to my primary care but this seems like something that could be taken care of locally at a dedicated sexual health center or pharmacy.

I'm not in any protected/high-risk group FYI. I know some of these services are specifically for at-risk individuals.

It's not directly in Cambridge, but Planned Parenthood near BU is excellent and accepts all sorts of insurance. They can provide whatever you need

MGH has a whole clinic for that if I recall. I think it's supposed to be super quick.

I do not know if they still do it but the Massachusetts Alliance of Portuguese Speakers on Cambridge St runs (or used to) free anonymous STD testing. The actual location for the testing was in the oddly placed SCATV building in the middle of Union Sq in Somerville. They'll ask for a name, but they do not ask for ID.

Someone mentioned MAPP and they will do it completely free of charge. MGH has a clinic as well - they can work with insurance or you can choose to not use insurance and there is no cost ime.

MGH Sexual Health Clinic. Just on other side of the river. Very easy.

It's not in Cambridge, but the best answer here is Fenway health. It's worth the trip into town, and while it can be difficult to get an appointment with your PCP, you can usually just make an appointment with any provider in the building and they will be covered by your HMO as if you are seeing your PCP.

They're very sensitive and knowledgable on these matters.
