Yeah, you go to any bar in Cambridge and everyone knew for a long time. A lot of folks (ladies) didn’t want to speak out for fear of not being able to score another job in the area.
When I worked for the ME in the late 2000s my GF at the time wouldn’t come visit me ‘cause Joseph used to call her at like 2am and ask what she was up to. I don’t know how I didn’t see that as a red flag.
Cathy used to cover for his shit also.

It looks like OP posted an AMP link. These should load faster, but AMP is controversial because of concerns over privacy and the Open Web.
Maybe check out the canonical page instead: https://www.cbsnews.com/boston/news/mural-middle-east-club-central-square-cambridge/

The city collects extra business taxes to fund the BID (Business Improvement District). The idea was the extra taxes go to the upkeep of Central Sq. Given how that's been going, maybe they should just commision a new portrait from the original artist instead?
There's no way the original survives construction.

Save the Mural, but shed no tears for the Middle East. Owners and management were serial sexual assaulters and enablers.
