All of the CA gyms are dope. Chiseled is cool if u like a younger crowd (last time I was there they were playing yeat on the intercom πŸ”₯). Theres some IFBB folk at chiseled. Fittok influence is heavy in that place so be prepared to maneuver around tripods

Lifetime Fitness is super clean and has newer equipment. It’s very expensive though, in my opinion.

Just a few mins outside of Columbia in Hanover is Powerhouse. Best in the area IMO.

The Howard County Fit4U membership is a great value for your money. For just $300 per year you get access to the Roger Carter, Gary Arthur, and North Laurel Community Centers, which collectively have a weight room, cardio room, aerobics room, pool, indoor track, climbing wall, and basketball and tennis courts.

I know Chiseled Life is getting many mentions, and I did enjoy my time there, but I have to say that I didn't find the equipment "newer". Additionally while it gives the impression that there's an abundance of equipment and machines, several of the machines didn't work and there weren't a wide variety. Another thing of note is the parking lot is not exactly ideal.

But like it's been mentioned, the gym does seem to be a draw for young people.

The Colosseum is awesome, it is just dirty as hell and neglected. The nice thing about The Colosseum is it is 24 hours.

Lifetime is very clean but unless you want to use a stairmaster the equipment blows.
