This place has a "now open" sign and is next to APL. I stopped in today and placed an order for takeout. Everything was delicious! Also, a nice environment for dining in. I definitely recommend it.

I would like to second that - I’ve ordered from them a number of times and they are consistently excellent.

Yep, it's quickly become one of our favorites. One tip for takeout: if you order online and pick the "Non Veg Curry Bowl" it's a slightly smaller serving of one of their chicken dishes for like $5 less. Both times I've ordered it they've given me the choice of chicken tikka masala and something else when I picked up. I've never been disappointed there.

Interesting, we really like Royal Taj in fact my wife and I went there for a date last night. I have been meaning to go try Chutney. We have some friends who are from India and like good food and they prefer the food at Chutney but acknowledge it isn’t as fancy.

I loved Royal Taj's buffet, but they shut it down during 2020 and are not reopening it, I was sad to learn from the owner. and the regular menu is just too pricey for me.

It is spendy in fact I hadn’t been in a while and did a double take on the prices when we just went. I always laugh to myself about the separate high end cocktails menu. They have a $125 vieux carre on there that is only expensive because they are making it with about $100 worth of some fancy cognac which (I assume) is totally lost in the cocktail anyway.

oh, i thought just a one-location place... and in fact the guy I'm thinking of maybe the manager, not the owner - but whatever the case, he tries to make everyone feel very welcome.
