Hi all,

I've been noticing an uptick in posts asking very similar questions about moving to the area, choosing apartments, etc. As the sub gets larger, these will continue to get repetitive and I thought it would be a good idea to create a small guide for moving to the area/being new to the area.

It could be a post to refer people to, something in the sidebar, or a wiki addition. Do you think it's worth it, or does the content not bother you and we should leave it to individual posts? This sub is pretty lightweight to mod but this is certainly something that has stuck out recently.

Any other feedback is welcome. Thanks!

If I was moving somewhere I would want individual posts.

Yes. A weekly ask the sub question sticky would be nice to corral all of it.

Personally, I think this is a very good idea.

I've been here over a decade. I feel like I need to read this guide.

The content doesn't bother me. This sub doesn't have a whole lot of activity to begin with, and each person moving has wildly different requests and needs that its nice to help people. Also I think it can start some introductions and maybe make friends when people post their interests

An FAQ/Wiki would work best. I think the hope would be fewer general questions and more specific questions due to it, which is useful.
