Are there red light cameras by the Columbia mall?

I honestly barely drive over there but I was there just a little bit ago and when I was leaving the light turned red just as I was at the end of the intersection. When that happened I saw several flashes behind me in the intersection.

Just asking if there are cameras over there because I have NEVER seen red light cameras in Maryland.

There are definitely red light cameras and speed cameras in Maryland, I got hit by the speed cams while living in Rockville. There are several red light cameras up around the town center intersections

Speed camera laws vary by county. I am not sure what the law is in MoCo but the speed cameras are everywhere. In HoCo, they are only allowed to place speed cameras in school zones. They do exist, but there are not a lot of them.

Maryland has literally hundreds if not thousands of red light cameras. Howard county - Columbia in particular - has less then you’d think given the population. But still there are a few.

They are all over the place in Columbia. Most major intersections have them.

Howard has a few red light cameras - and in Columbia in particular; but its not bad. However, Montgomery has all sorts of traffic cameras.

They do have a ring of them around the mall. Waze is your friend if you want to check the specific intersection.

Yes! I was caught by one at intersection of Windstream Dr and Gov Warfield Pkwy

They certainly do! I was caught by the one at Gov. Warfield and LPP last week. The light was just turning as I went through.
