Hey everyone! I’m moving from the Midwest to Columbia and wanted to see what the average cost of utilities (electricity, water/sewage, trash) for apartments in the area are? I checked rent cafe but no info on apartments (just homes).

My electricity is between 50-$150 per month, water/sewage/gas around $70-90/month.

My complex does not pay for any of my utilities, so my total bill can be anywhere from $90 to $170 per month. I've found it to be the highest in the peak of summer, when my AC has a real hard time keeping my top floor apartment cool, even when I set it at 78° or 79° or even 80°.

(I forgot to mention that I am in a one bedroom apartment.)

We live in a 4 bedroom house with two full remotes. Power $90(summer)-150(winter) and water is quarterly $90, slightly higher in the summer months for our garden.

4 bedroom house electricity only $90 in the summer?? Do you set the temperature to 80° or something? that's similar to what I pay in a two bedroom apartment.

No, we typically don’t run ac. We have wonderful windows! But we have 4 computers that are like always running because both my husband and I work remote. Even now our house is set to 64 degrees…

I just moved out of a one bedroom condo, I used BGE’s budget billing and paid the same thing every month, and I paid $72 monthly. My condo fee covered water, gas and trash, and the apartment I lived in before the condo also covered those expenses as wel
