Damn, sorry that happened. Seems like a safe area
BakeBeginning7863 t1_j1fneri wrote
It’s not a safe area. So much property crime there.

That’s not true.

I live here and I assure you that isn’t the case.

Tell that to my neighbor who got his wheels taken last week.

Okay I will. Anomalies happen that doesn’t make it universally true.

Check out the crime reports it happens daily.

Columbia has a population of over 105,000 people. Crime is significantly lower here than in most other towns/cities of equivalent size.

This place is over taxed, over priced, and full of crime.
Wjbskinsfan t1_j1i56eu wrote
You won’t hear me argue about the first 2. You are however objectively wrong about the crime.

PA, And WV are both much better places to live. And it really isn’t close.

County in Crisis!

Exactly people downvoting this, but they’re just desensitized to it. People get their wheels stolen all the time. Columbia is the most overrated suburb.
Cee_Cee_Knight t1_j1g4xgk wrote
I don’t think people are desensitized it’s just there is crime everywhere/always and if you compare Columbia crime to neighboring areas crime… Columbia is a lot safer .
BakeBeginning7863 t1_j1g9lo7 wrote
That speaks more to Maryland than other places
No-Pianist8555 t1_j1gfef1 wrote
That’s the thing there isn’t crime in suburbs like this in other states. You just think it’s normal

The people that like Columbia probably live in some housing plan 800k+. Not people living in apartments
