I don’t think people are desensitized it’s just there is crime everywhere/always and if you compare Columbia crime to neighboring areas crime… Columbia is a lot safer .

That’s the thing there isn’t crime in suburbs like this in other states. You just think it’s normal

Columbia isn't a suburb. It's Maryland's second largest city. The population density (3310 people/sq mi) is comparable to:
