I don’t know specifically, but deer culling is active all over the county. This happens at night in closed parks to reduce the size of the herds.

They post the times and locations of these. So should be easy to find out if they had an active operation in that area last night.

There’s also some cars that go around with popping engines. Could be confused for gunshots.
