Hi,

I’ve been working in Columbia, right by the mall, for about 6 months now.

Does anyone know a decent place to get a lunch salad in the area? Someplace that does a lot of takeout/counter service, like a sweet green or chop’t would be good.

The only place I know of nearby is corner bakery, but their salad selection is really small. My office building doesn’t have a deli or cafeteria in it, or else I’d just go there.

Nalley Fresh off Dobbin road near the Walmart is the best. The salad place in the mall food court isn't that bad either

Thanks! I still haven’t been to the mall food court for lunch, but it is super close.

I used to work next to a nalley fresh in downtown baltimore and it was kind of a cluster. Is the Columbia location good?

it can definitely be a cluster in there, so I order in advance. I do find it to be of superior quality though.

There really aren't many good salad places around so maybe it's worth it sometimes when you're sick of the mall or whole foods.

Came to say Nalley Fresh. The one in Columbia is better than the one in downtown Baltimore was. The one in Hunt Valley is the best, but I haven't had a bad experience at the Columbia location.

I’d avoid Nalley fresh. The meat is low quality and they charge about $13+ for an entree.

I haven't any issues with quality. Also I want to mention the base price for a salad is currently $11.50

Love Nalley but they raised their prices too much. And they charge more if paying by credit card.

Bon Fresco is fantastic. Would recommend the platters which I’ve always considered to be salads.

I usually go to CaVa off Dobbin Road for my salads. It's in that same little plaza as Chipotle, Burger Fi, BOA and the Party City store.

It’s not really a salad but Taichi bubble tea near target on dobbin has veggie bowls that I enjoy.

In a similar vein, you can create Korean salad bowls at Bibibop at the mall, though a bibimbap is normally a rice bowl. You can choose a bed of salad greens instead of rice, and then choose your main protein and other toppings.

They are surprisingly good! Not just "good for a pizza place," their salads are honestly awesome.

There’s an office deli on the bottom of the Merriweather One (Medstar Building) that I enjoy.

There's a place in the mall food court called Chop Chop Salad. Right by the food court entrance. Good salads, lots of options.

If you are in to bringing a bagged salad and a bowl to mix it in, Wegmans has a vast selection of bagged chopped salads for around $4 for when you are wanting to be frugal. I usually get a couple days worth when I go to be set for the week.
