Keep in mind relief organizations need money. Things are logistical burdens (transport, storage, sorting, sanitizing, distribution), where money lets them get what they need when they need it.

I get it, things just feel better. But money is the most useful.

The area the earthquake and the aftershocks had greatest effect is largely populated by violent extremist organizations, i.e. ISIS. Please be aware a large percentage of any donation you give that makes it to Turkey/Syria will go to terrorism, not judging you for giving, just be aware of it.

My bf is Turkish and his city and family’s cities were destroyed. He shared TPF with me as he trusts this organization and it’s transparent about where they put the money. Please donate here and share this link with others. The people really need it, it’s so horrible. People are still trapped under buildings and calling out for help and it’s been more than 3 days with freezing temps. There’s still little to no supplies/limited access to these areas 😢 https://donate.tpfund.org/campaign/tpf-turkiye-earthquake/c465112
