Keep in mind relief organizations need money. Things are logistical burdens (transport, storage, sorting, sanitizing, distribution), where money lets them get what they need when they need it.

The area the earthquake and the aftershocks had greatest effect is largely populated by violent extremist organizations, i.e. ISIS. Please be aware a large percentage of any donation you give that makes it to Turkey/Syria will go to terrorism, not judging you for giving, just be aware of it.

Vet the group, go with international relief agencies like the Red Cross, International Rescue Committee, etc. Thousands of people have died. People are not funding terrorism with well vetted organizations.

You realize even hypothetical “People’s republic of North Badguyistan” is populated primarily by women and children, right?

People are still trapped under buildings and calling out for help and it’s been more than 3 days with freezing temps.
