Some of these reports are from 2016... Is there anything that's been happening recently?

Sheesh just extend metro rail to Columbia, you could build a train right in the middle of 29 from silver spring to Columbia LOL can you imagine. I love it

I like the idea of BRT on Oakland Mills and 32 but these plans aren't good enough. You can't but the busses in mixed traffic. Especially the proposal to put the buses in traffic on 32 East right before 95, it will eliminate the value for the commuter who currently takes this route by car. It also needs the camden line MARC to run on mid-days and weekends.

The 29 route also needs to go all the way to a metro station, not a park and ride, and also needs to avoid mixed traffic.

If they can create dedicated right of ways and connections to 7 day a week transit into DC and Baltimore, it's a great idea. Anything else is a half solution.

It would be absolutely remarkable to see a train system between Columbia and Silver Spring. To be able to potentially ride rail all the way from here down into DC would be incredible.

It would also be huge for the potential linking of Baltimore and DC by a devoted direct rail that would help clear up the road traffic between the cities and possibly help drive interest in further rail development elsewhere.

As nice as a BRT system would be I can’t imagine it surviving massive cuts and lack of public interest to end up as anything more than them adding a few new bus stations and having most of it just use the existing roadways for stretches. Thus, we end up with the great new transit project only adding to and suffering still from traffic.
