I second this. We brought my toddler there last week and he had a blast! Animals are all very friendly, admission is dirt cheap, and it’s not as goofy as some other farms.

They’re not doing apple picking this weekend, though. Just checked their website yesterday.

Mitchell farm in Salem is hosting a hayride tomorrow at 11:00. It’s a fundraiser for this horse retirement farm. There will be horses around, hayrides, small local vendors.

That sounds terrific! Unfortunately, I have to work until 12 but I hope others see your post and head over!

Roaring Alpacas in Suffield always has animals you can pet and feed for free depending on the schedule for the day, no hay ride however

They have over 200 rescue alpacas that you can walk in and feed completely free. They also have a store where you can buy alpaca blankets and honey products from their aipary

Another great one we brought the kiddo to!

Another bonus: both this and Flamig Farm are pretty far from the highway, so you get some beautiful foliage driving too!

Pet and feed calves at Fish Family Farm in Bolton. No hayrides there, but great ice cream!

Farmers hayride 13 niederwerfer rd, Broad Brook. You can find them on Facebook. It’s not a fancy farm by any means, but they have worked to do kids things the past couple years and open up to the public.
