Oh no! Not some mean words in a city! The horror!!! So what did they allegedly do???

This is great “The last thing we want to do is release video of footage that is not clear or of someone who was not involved being wrapped into this unnecessarily.” God forbid I make my own mind up. I'll take their word for it.

I don't have time. I'll tell you what, when they release the video and or describe what exactly was stated I'll read that. This is just click bait for the sake of ad revenue. Also you are only getting one side of a story, it takes 2 to tango.

So you'll take the two seconds it takes to throw out some mingy, not grounded in reality, comment.. and not just read the fucking article to maybe challenge your personal beliefs on this.. ok.

All this could be avoided, by you know? Releasing the video... I already said in my first comment I will take their word for it, it's literally all we have to go off of.

I'm not here to read news articles, what gave you that impression? I am simply engaging in a forum about a local event, in which I would simply like to see the evidence that already exists. It's caught on video if you didn't know.

You are throwing out ill informed opinions, that muddy and taint the narrative. All of this could be avoided if you just read the article.. but you do you boo.

I'm all for bodycams, but please take it off before you do a press conference, that looks absolutely ridiculous lol.

Maybe show the pictures a little bigger? And it's super unclear who did the assaulting, the group of white bros or the two shirtless dudes?

Just a thought, does it feel strange that when shit goes down that the camera has technical issues? like the prison gaurd leaving his post at same time the camera had issues outside of Epstein "suicide" or when the camera had issues when the NY subway shooting occurred, or in this case the camera had issues when the alleged incident occurred, and it takes a month to manipulate footage to release to the public. All they have released is photos of people walking down the street, I could be wrong on that my eyesight isn't what it used to be, I wonder how many traffic cameras have issues when scanning you're car for blowing red lights, and how come news cameras stay functional during hurricane force wind and ice storms? Now I'll remove my tin foil hat for the day

Off topic but in the photo the mayor reminds me of Beeker from the muppet show

Then what good are they? Perhaps they need an upgrade? Now I'm no cameraologist but I can see my own house from space using Google, what good are these cameras if they can't see across the street?

I’m a “cameraologist”. It’s impossible to get 4k video coverage of every square foot of New Haven streets. You have to pick your spots and your configuration. Cameras are configured for best “all purpose” use. For instance, you can optimize for moving cars and license plates by increasing shutter speed to reduce motion blur, but increased shutter speed means less light is hitting the sensor, which leads to darker, fuzzier video at night.

Oh I see, so lighting played a roll in the quality of footage? Any idea of why it has taken more than a month to "sift" through the footage before releasing to public

They're suspects OR witnesses? That's a big difference.
