Do you have Frontier in town? If so, call them and tell them you are switching and they will offer you lower rate.

I just changed to Frontier and cancelled Cox service. Frontier was new in the town, so now paying same as what I was paying Cox ($60/mo), but for gig speed. Then Cox calls me maybe 4 days later to try to give me a new deal. Seems like a dumb way to run business. It could work out really well if you don't need internet connection for a few days, probably get a better deal than just threatening to cancel. When I called to cancel, it was much easier than I thought. They didn't transfer me to try to save the business.

I was at $82 with 150mbps/1.25 TB with cox before I switched to frontier gig with no cap for $60

I was paying $99/mo for 1g with Cox and the service was terrible and unreliable. Switched to Frontier 1g fiber a few months back, paying $60/mo and so far so good. I can actually be on a wifi call now without it dropping constantly.

$105 for service plus $50 for no data cap caps. Dropped them this summer for gonetspeed the minute I could. $60/1gb now. Fuck cox.

I thought those data caps had been eliminated from basically all ISP's, that's ridiculous for what you pay.
