Hey everyone I’m new to CT, I moved to Woodbury from NY (not NYC) about 1 year ago. What can you tell me about Woodbury?

Woodbury deli is good. Their catering is great.

The hollow park always has events going on.

The library has a “cellar” behind it that sells used books and puzzles for very cheap. The library itself is nice, especially for kids. They also host a lot of events.

Woodbury brewing has great bands and ok-ish beer. You can order food from the adjacent restaurant from inside the brewery. Quassy amusement park is really close and there are awesome bike trails.

Well, it's a small town in Connecticut, located near other small towns in Connecticut. It has trees and people and I think some cows. Maybe some llamas. Or goats. I want to say there is some goat yoga near there. There's also the "salt cave" place I hear my crunchy granola friends rave about.

Flanders Nature Center has nice trails for hikes and educational programs. check out their maple syrup making demos in the spring. West Egg is my new favorite breakfast joint in town.

Dotties is good . Carol Pecks and John’s cafe are great . The Farm is a wonderful place for seasonal offerings . Hollow park is nice and maintained well. I like to walk the Main Street there. Sidewalks are far away from traffic. Nice small town with just enough stores . New Morning Market is a great store . Yes it’s expensive but we’ll worth it .

As a fellow NYer who moved to your neighboring town of Southbury, Woodbury is good for food but for anything else you need to go to bigger towns like Danbury or Waterbury. Woodbury definitely does Christmas right, on Christmas Eve they light lanterns all down Main St, we drive through every year and if there is a little snow it looks like a Hallmark Movie. If you have kids as others have stated the Hollow is a great park, it if you have younger kids you might want to check out the playgrounds in Middlebury, they equipment is better for toddlers. New Morning Market is like a small town Whole Foods, so if your on a special diet you might want to check it out. Rustic Charm makes really nice home decor, you picked the right town if your into antiques. The school system is great, my husband attended the high school there and really liked it. Overall you picked a good town. Welcome to CT, message me if you ever want to talk :)

Welcome -Woodbury is great - check out 1754 house for dinner! Soulbury is a crunchy sweet eclectic shop that i bring new friends to a lot. The Garden and the Farm for your plant/produce needs. Also venture down to the Quarry Walk Plaza in Oxford- ramen and Bao - sitting duck tavern- char and lemon - 5 guys - jersey mikes - Are just some of there brand new restaurants. It’s convenient for having more options in our area without going on the highway 😂

I've heard mixed reviews about their lunch menu, but I've never had a bad breakfast at Annoula's Diner.

Ovens of France down the road is also good. Their croissants are absolutely delicious

Surprisingly, new morning has the best coffee in town (in my opinion). Their grill is also very good. There is also a nice trail leading up to the fire tower which you can go to the top of. The view is super pretty. I like Ayla’s for breakfast and marketplace for dinner. Their Brussels sprouts are amazing

Southbury is great, moved up in april, but still find myself going down to norwalk /westport a lot. For some reason I can't find the same quality of restaurants and stuff in danbury.
