It probably lasted longer because of that, but we have lost a lot of department stores that were standalone businesses to ones attached to malls.

Pretty much anywhere in CT you had or have a Macy's was a G Fox originally.

They were in business for 150 years... And she sold the business 5 years after the Highways were put in for $40million. Pretty sure she did fine for herself.

They merged with Filene’s in the 90’s which eventually merged with Macy’s
