Two or 3 companies operate seaplanes out of Tweed. They land right on the east River at the 23rd st seaplane base. I haven't done it but the cost really doesn't seem outrageous. I just got back from a short weekend trip and if you factor in parking at Union Station, train fare, and the time savings it isn't nuts to consider this if the timing works out.

Maybe it is charter only now but I've seen at least 3 different planes parked at the hangar on the NE side of the airport.

Yep, at least that one company is done providing this service. Kind of too bad but maybe there are others still in operation.
