I've volunteered at a local animal rescue for nearly twenty years. WFSB-TV showed up unexpectedly at the shelter last week, working on a news story that it was closing. Recently several emergency vet bills put a huge dent in our resources, but we weren't going to be closing. Nonetheless, the public had a massive outpouring of support in donations, and it just made my heart swell. Thanks to everyone for their support.

Volunteered for 20 years?

Respect. I just donate to The Humane Society but I never actually done groundwork.
