Unfortunately we had to cancel our 5-day trip to an all-inclusive resort in Mexico that we’ve had planned. Where’s a cheap-ish place to visit for a long weekend in March that’s a direct flight from Bradley?

We’re looking for: affordability, a place with an indoor pool, relaxation. Not too complicated to get around, not into bar scenes, just want relaxation. No kids.

Thanks!

What about from New Haven? Check out Avelo. They fly to a few places in FL. Also there is now Breeze airlines out of BDL but I haven't used them yet. But they have cheap flights to places down south. There are sometimes deals to Puerto Rico

Edit. For Avelo check out Tampa and maybe head to Clearwater or Indian Shores

Came here to suggest Avelo out of Tweed.

Partner and I went to West Palm Beach last year in March for $300 round trip. The smaller airports are really nice, with plenty of locations to visit out of New Haven.

And Avelo will likely run 30-50% off coupon codes on their website right after New Years’ for travel in March, if they keep following their MO like in previous post-holiday periods

Charleston and Savannah can be reached by Breeze and are great places for a weekend getaway. I'm happy to provide recommendations on where to go and what to do. I'm a bar and food person, so a lot of what I know is places to eat and drink, but there's plenty of other stuff to do.

If all you're looking for is an indoor pool and relaxation, you could really go almost anywhere. I've been to quite a few cities that are direct flight from CT or a shortish drive, so I could provide a decent list. I actually love Pittsburgh. Fun food scene and plenty of large hotels with indoor pools. There's a direct flight out of Bradley.

Edit: Don't go to Savannah around St. Patrick's Day. It will be crowded and expensive. Otherwise, a great place to visit.

I’m a complete nerd but I would go to Montreal or Quebec. Cold as well ice but amazing food and history.

Ireland has been added, I was looking at a direct flight on paddy’s day weekend. $410 round trip

Last time I did a short notice, "fuck this shit" long weekend, I booked a flight & all inclusive in DR for like $900 all in. It would've been more $ to stay in a motel in FL with other expenses.

Nice! Would you mind DMing me the name of the resort?

It was the RIU Palace Punta Cana. There's 3 or 4 different RIU resorts all in a row that you can roam around. I booked thru cheapcaribbean. I did opt for the private shuttle for an extra $100, it was totally worth it vs the coach bus transport, which looked miserable.

I love flying Breeze. If you sign up for their emails, then they’ll let you know the next time they run a $50 flight deal!
