It's not, it just makes for a good sound bite because both words start with an S.

Note the article that tries to make it out like a really bad stretch of road has to go back to 1995 to make the roughly one death per year on the main commuter highway seem like a large number.

I mean I knew they made improvements to 6 from Bolton to Willimantic back 20 years ago instead of creating an extension of 384/actual 84 and it seemed like it made some changes.
