Planning on driving from central CT to Westchester county this morning but wanted to make sure it was safe. Is there a good website where I can see current road conditions? I want to avoid icy roads at all costs.

I saw this a few minutes ago. I haven't used it but figured I'd pass it along.

I was just wondering the same thing because we are supposed to go to PA.

Yeah, I did find CTroads.org, but it doesn't talk about ice conditions. Also, I'd be driving back here tonight.

I’m also driving to PA today! I checked 511PA.com and 511NY.com and both of those website have “winter road conditions” tabs. I didn’t look for CT but I’d bet “511CT.com” also exists

not exactly what youre looking for but it helps. lots of cameras and if you see a lot of closure and reported accidents youll know where not to go.

There probably isn’t a website that shows you how icy the roads are. I would just drive extra cautious and give yourself plenty of time to get to where you need to go. If it make you feel any better they were pre-salting the roads last night in preparations for the freezing temps.

I was out on 95 today and it’s dry and ice free.

When I used to commute, I would check the ct dot website and look at the traffic cams on the highways to gauge how well they were plowed
