Would be funny if someone slapped that on an officers cruiser without him realizing it 🤣

The police are allowed to lie to you.

Ok but the police jerk off to the fact that they are police so they usually don’t lie about that

No they can’t it’s written in the constitution

Frazier v Cupp - 1969

Wiki: Frazier V Cupp

Police can use deceptive tactics in interrogations. 3 states have passed laws saying the police cannot do this to minors, but otherwise it’s fair game

Because people just happen to know a random reference from a random show from a decade ago??

People took a reasonable guess that this person just doesn't know what they're talking about or what's in the constitution. Judging based off the last decade alone and it seems a lot of people barely have a junior high level grasp of it and the law.

A random show? You mean the one that has cast and crew that won several Emmy’s, several golden globes, and who’s production studio won a Peabody for it? A show with ranked as having the all time 3rd greatest finale? The show that inspired a spin off that has absolutely plagued this website for the past 2-3 years?

It was a breaking bad reference

WhittlingDan t1_j2ecaxb wrote

Oh is that the scene where somebody thinks a cop has to tell you they are a cop if you ask them? And thanks for the reference.

It always amazed me when I was younger and met real world examples of people thinking a cop has to tell you they are a cop if you ask them. Usually people thought it had to do with entrapment.

Better call Saul is NOT breaking bad but its a spin off, I think its pretty good so far, and I like the character Saul. He can be complex, he has a good heart but struggles to do right. I haven't seen the last season yet. Have you seen any of the show!

Looks like a cop to me and I’m not passing him doing 60 in a 55.

I pass cops all the time. If you’re doing 10 over the limit almost no cop will pull you over, even 15 over on the highway. Cops usually draw a line in the sand when they’re doing radar duty, anyone going X over the limit I’ll pull over. While driving, if they’re just on their way to a call or cruising between points on their route, they’re only going to pull over egregious violations.

I’m in the northeast, NY, CT, MA, NJ, are pretty much all like this unless you’re in a particular jurisdiction or highway where enforcement is known to be aggressive. Like, I do 60 on the Taconic parkway because there are a ton of small towns off it that farm it for speeding ticket revenue.

That’s exactly the thing you’d expect a cop to say...🤔

I saw that as a windshield sticker printed backwards, so you could read it in the rear view mirror. I wonder how often he got stuck behind a slow vehicle?

Something tells me that that dude got stopped and questioned about impersonating an officer🤣

But when cop cars are sold at auction, they take off all the exterior radar connectors🤔

There is someone near me with a blue one that still has the light above the mirror and other stuff on the outside. It just looks like one of the blacked out cruisers because you can see some of the outline under the paint over.

They are only required to remove Red and Blues and radio equipment. I’ve bought many of them; some with sirens/clear strobes, radar connections, all the antennas, cage, shotgun mounts, etc etc - mostly CT cars too.

I used to own a taxi company. On one occasion, I was driving a Crown Victoria that had not gotten the taxi markings on it yet and the guy in front of me just pulls right over and lets me pass. So I can relate.
