Fried calamari?

my roommate and I loved the calamari at J Timothy's (in addition to the wings of course) and we were saddened to know they took it off the menu.

Please share your calamari recs!

Wood n’ Tap (Southington) is decent. Haven’t been to Zingarella’s in years but it was pretty good there too. Joey Garlic’s is also not bad if you’re in the area.

Went to lunch with friends on Friday. Riptide on the west haven/milford line has great calamari! I was very pleasantly surprised!

Rosy Tomorrow’s in Danbury have Buffalo chicken calamari. It comes topped with tomato, celery, hot sauce, and blue cheese crumble.

Honestly you don't want calamari that's not fresh. Perhaps they couldn't source enough good quality stuff and that's why it's gone. I'd rather see it off the menu than get something that's been caught who-knows-where, frozen, shipped, sat around, etc.
