$91.04 just randomly got added to my checking account. I’m grateful cause $ is $ but this is pitiful if this is hero pay I get for working at Bristol Hospital hands on with Covid patients for the whole pandemic.

Update: got the full $1,000. $91 was something else. Was quick to assume. This helps in so many ways getting me threw these winter months.

Good for you that you got something - many people who met the criteria either were denied or are/were in the pending approval status forever or never heard anything back after applying.

I do agree that $91 is a joke.

That's legit triple what you would've gotten had they not reduced the pool so much...Be grateful

Who does it say deposited the money?

>Over 248,000 people applied to the program before the Oct. 1 deadline, but only 156,000 workers qualified for benefits.

>In November, lawmakers voted to add $30 million to the fund and bring the total to $105 million.

>More than 66,000 people who make $50,000 or less each year will receive the full $1,000 bonus, while applicants with higher incomes will get significantly smaller amounts. The program covers a wide range of employees, including health care workers, teachers and firefighters.

Correct me if I’m wrong but almost all the 156,000 workers qualified would receive 1000 if the total funding was $105 million. With that math technically all 156,000 qualified workers could have gotten 673.08.

Well if 156,000 people got $1000 each it would be $156 million. You're right each worker could have gotten $673. $91 seems pretty far off from $673 to me, but I don't know what your yearly salary is.

Maybe you were at the upper end of qualifying applicants?

I was approved....then I wasn't....and still have the letters in my vehicles explaining why I'd be out on the roads while the public was supposed to be isolated at home. $91, eh. Shows how good our leaders are with numbers lol.

I couldn't agree more. The folks that kept us going during that awful time deserve so much more. Thank you for all you have done.

"Hey we know the pandemic was tough on many essential workers we hailed as heroes and then promptly turned around and treated as entitled jerks. And we know we promised $1000 to each 'hero.' And we know we really, REALLY fucked up budgeting for it and basically the program was doomed to fail. And we know you're basically getting nothing after promising it..."

Wow, nice.

Wouldn't even have been worth the time filling out the paperwork if that's all they're sending out.
