Practice going on and off the highway and also practice parking. Backing into a spot and parallel parking, also K turns/3 point turn whatever u call it.
So I took my test there in 2014. we pulled out of the DMV and took a right on W Main St, then when we got to the intersection of Roanoke Ave and W Main we took another right onto Roanoke, we pulled into the plaza with Supercuts etc and went behind the building where the instructor had me back in to a spot. After that we continued up Roanoke took a right onto Quarry St. we went all the way to the end of that road and took another right onto Mansfield Ave, then took the second or third right onto Valley St. all the way down to the weird intersection that turns into West Ave, and then went back down to W Main and took a right heading back to the DMV, took the final right onto Holbrook Ave and pulled back into the DMV where the instructor had me pull into a spot and the test was over. Depends on the instructor honestly but that's pretty much exactly the route that I took. A big circle on back roads
Just spoke to my son, I think he got his license 2013? He said he did go on the highway, 6 East. Took a right and made his way through the back roads. He did his parking behind the DMV area. He also said he remembers having to drive down Main St. The lanes change quickly from left only, straight, to right only.
My youngest son also went on the highway in 2016, different area. He ended up driving in a snow squall. Drive as much as you can anywhere you can.
Bro pay for classes. You aren’t going to pass your test with your grandma teaching you. Odds are she doesn’t know how to drive correctly because no adult does.
